Erie Sports Now Anchor Gary Drapcho Passes Away

Our hearts are broken at Erie News Now as longtime sportscaster and friend Gary Drapcho passed away Tuesday night.

Gary had suffered from cardiac problems over the past few years and had a reoccurrence recently.  His 36-year career with us involved covering Super Bowls, the World Series, the Stanley Cup and numerous high school championships.  Gary is survived by his three daughters – Katharine, Kara and Kymberly.
Our condolences go out to his family and our community during this difficult time.
He will always be remembered at Erie News Now as our friend, a person of faith and our eye into the world of sports.  Gary was 63 years old.
