INTERNS - Station sales and Radio Production/Promotions unpaid interns wanted!! Gathering leads for our sales department -- finding business's appropriate to our station's listening audience to advertise for customers. Helping write sample and actual commercials to run for potential and current advertisers on AM 1340. Assisting the AM 1340 sales force in daily duties. This could include helping gather information for sales proposals, setting up and working station events at client locations and station events throughout the city. Helping the station's business and sales manager in day to day duties, daily paperwork, collections of revenue and other tasks instrumental in the daily operation of AM 1340. Attend all AM 1340 business meetings and select appointments as arranged by station management. Assist the Programming Director and Promotions Manager with radio production and on site remotes. Qualified candidates should have: A desire to work at least 20 hours a week recognizing this is an unpaid internship- Availability to work at radio events at night or weekends if needed. Understand that daily duties can vary greatly. Access to reliable transportation, you may be asked to run errands from time to time for station events and business transactions.
